Ode to Ed Emberley

About 5 years ago my girls received some drawing books by Ed Emberley for their birthday–Make a World and Great Thumbprint Drawing Book. I  remember loving these as a kid. During the blizzard last weekend, we dug these books out and have been having fun drawing his simple shape animals in Illustrator. My 11-year old is getting pretty good. I was particularly smitten with his birds, so I created a little series and plunked a couple in landscapes.

So cheers to you, Ed Emberley, if you're out there, I'm a big fan!
